Effective Friday, September 5, 2025 - Fire Danger Levels Change

 Regulated Use Remains in Effect.

The following changes to the Fire Danger Level are in effect as of 12:00 PM on Friday, 09/05/2025.  Current IFPLs remain in place.

Fire Danger for Public Use Restrictions:

NW-1 at BLUE / MODERATE

NW-2 at BLUE / MODERATE

NW-3 at BLUE / MODERATE

In Moderate Fire Danger, OHV trails in the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests are open without time restrictions.

Industrial Fire Precaution Levels (IFPLs):

NW-1 at IFPL 1

NW-2 at IFPL 2

NW-3 at IFPL2

Please remember that the use of incendiary ammunition such as tracer rounds or "Dragon's Breath" shells is prohibited on ODF protected lands during fire season and that the use of exploding targets is prohibited year-round in Oregon's State Forests.

North Fork Wolf Creek Target Shooting Lanes CLOSED to the Public due to Fire Danger


The North Fork Wolf Creek Shooting Lanes have been closed to the public AT THE HIGHWAY due to recent fires in the area. The lanes will remain closed until fire danger alleviates. Thank you.

North Fork Wolf Creek Rd. has been reopened in conjunction with the North Fork Wolf Creek Shooting Lanes after some maintenance and improvements.  Fire Danger Levels Change to High

Effective at 12:01 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 the Fire Danger Level that governs public use activity in the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests changed to the following:

NW1: Moderate / Blue

NW2: High / Yellow

NW3: High / Yellow

In High / Yellow Fire Danger, the OHV trails in the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests closed between 1pm and 8pm.

Regulated Use and Fire Season remain in effect.

Fire Danger Levels Change to Moderate

Effective at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025 the Fire Danger Level that governs public use activity in the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests changed to the following:

NW1: Moderate / Blue

NW2: Moderate / Blue

NW3: Moderate / Blue

In Moderate / Blue Fire Danger, the OHV trails in the Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests are open for riding all day.

Regulated Use and Fire Season remain in effect.

 North Fork Wolf Creek Target Shooting Lanes Closed 8/11/25 - 9/1/25.


North Fork Wolf Creek Rd. will be closed AT THE HIGHWAY for maintenance and fire mitigation work on the North Fork Wolf Creek Target Shooting Lanes beginning Monday (8/11) until Monday (9/1).

Fire Season Begins for Tillamook State Forest on Monday June 23rd

ODF's Forest Grove, Tillamook & Astoria Districts will enter Fire Season and Regulated Use on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 12:01 AM.  The following restrictions will be in effect at that time:

IFPLs:

  • NW-1:  IFPL 1
  • NW-2:  IFPL 2
  • NW-3:  IFPL 2

Fire Danger:

  • NW-1:  MODERATE
  • NW-2:  MODERATE
  • NW-3:  MODERATE

At High Fire Danger, all OHV trails on the Tillamook State Forest are closed to riding from 1pm to 8pm.

Diamond Mill OHV Campground and Cedar Creek Designated Dispersed Sites OPEN!

Diamond Mill OHV Campground and Cedar Creek Designated Dispersed Sites have been re-opened to the public. 

Forest operations are still taking place in this part of the forest so please keep an eye on signage, use your CB radio if you have one and drive cautiously.

OHV Campgrounds Open on the Tillamook State Forest!

Browns Camp and Jordan Creek Campgrounds on the Tillamook State Forest have now officially opened for the 2025 season.

 Other primitive OHV camping and staging areas, such as Lyda Camp, South Fork Trask, and Jordan Creek Designated Dispersed Camping Areas, are also open.

Diamond Mill OHV Campground and Cedar Creek Designated Dispersed Sites are still closed until further notice due to timber sale operations.
