Please take the time to secure your belongings when you leave your car or campsite. There has been a rash of gas can thefts in the Browns Camp area over the last few days and some vehicle break-ins at various trailheads adjacent to Highway 6 over the past few months.
The couple of minutes you spend putting things in the trunk of your vehicle or cable locking them to your trailer, picnic table or vehicle can save you time and money in the long run.
If you do experience theft of belongings while visiting the Tillamook State Forest, please contact law enforcement when you are in cell phone range and file a report.
